SELLING OVERVIEW & POLICIES

◊ Thanks for your interest in selling books online! At the Book Flea Market you can quickly offer one or many books of any genre for as little as half a penny per day. Books for sale are listed by author last name A-Z for fast locating of a particular author or title; we also offer a full-site search.

◊ You set the book price and shipping costs for direct sales of your books, and it's strictly your decision if you wish to negotiate the stated price with potential Buyers. Set up your booth today by completing the following Seller Form. Your listings can also be offered in "lots," as "TEN SOFTBOUND ROMANCE NOVELS" or "Southern Fiction  Lot" etc.  for any price you wish. Once your booklist and listing fee (see Rate Chart below) has been received, your books will normally be online within 24-72 hours. Your 90 or 180 day listing period will begin the next business day after your list is placed on our web pages.

◊ If you have a "treasure" you may wish to sell, extremely rare or first edition signed books usually do best on a photo-based sale site such as our Rare Book Consignments. Selling more expensive books online normally requires detailed digital photos and very thorough book descriptions. Optionally, you may request on the BFM Seller Form in either the Description or Price column that you be contacted by email for photos and full condition details when offering high-value works.

◊ Our outreach program continually markets the BookFleaMarket™ site to key used, rare and out of print book venues so that your items may be easily found by collectors, bookdealers, students and readers worldwide. (If you are a dealer seeking an additional outlet, your listings are welcome and a link to your bookstore may be freely placed on email correspondence with BookFleaMarket Buyers.) BFM is searchable on all major (and many minor) North American and European search engines to give your book sales wide exposure. You are not obligated to accept non-U.S. offers to buy if you prefer not to ship books outside the U.S.

◊ There are no required monthly billings, transaction fees or credit card/bank account information forms on BookFleaMarket. However, to support both Buyer and Seller protection, you are encouraged to use PayPal or similar Secure payment systems. Trackable Delivery Confirmation, for an additional $.75 per package, is also highly recommended when shipping books by Media Mail.

◊ In the possible event of a Buyer-Seller dispute, our policy is that you as Seller are independently responsible for each of your book transactions as well as timely shipment of purchased items. Books you have received payment for should optimally be shipped within 3 days. BFM, as a listing agent, cannot be held liable for any improper usage of this service including sluggish delivery, non-delivery, or falsely describing a given book. In our effort to maintain a topflight roster of BookFleaMarket sellers, unresolved complaints from Buyers may cause a Seller to be barred from continued listings.

◊ The number of books you may list is currently unlimited, but due to time limitations each listing purchase from our optional plans below must be considered non-refundable and non-modifiable within the listing period, other than your emailing BFM to have us remove sold or no longer available items.

◊ Book re-listings receive a 10% Discount if a single book listing or an entire listed set of books is not sold within your listing period.

◊ You may send a MS Word, FrontPage or FrontPage Express-based database of your books rather than using our Seller Form below. Please send databases (along with name; town; state/province) using the six descriptive fields as seen in the following sample. It can be copy/pasted directly into MS Word, FrontPage or FrontPage Express for fast list making -- just add the appropriate number of rows to the table, fill in your book details, then send as an email attachment (in .DOC or .HTM format) to Mailbooth@BookFleaMarket.com.

*Credit card payments may be made to our PayPal account 'Mail1@Upsoar.com' by clicking the PayPal image below, OR you may request by email to Mailbooth@BookFleaMarket.com that we send you a PayPal "Money Request." If sending multiple forms for a single billing, please email us in advance so that we know to watch for several separate book listings from you. NOTE: When making PayPal payments directly, please select "Service" as payment Type and give the first title of the books you are listing in the "Note" blank to expedite matching of payment with your emailed booklist or form. *If you prefer to mail payment by check or money order, please email BFM for instructions or simply click on appropriate option in the Sell Form below.
